Save the trip receipt, pickup and drop-off locations, driver and vehicle details, route, time, app messages, and any safety report. Screenshots supplement rather than replace downloadable or emailed records.
Document the collision
Keep scene and vehicle photographs, report numbers, witness details, medical instructions, and communications from drivers, platforms, or insurers. Avoid assuming that the platform’s name determines responsibility.
Map the possible coverage
Coverage questions may turn on the driver’s app status, the trip stage, personal insurance, platform insurance, and other involved drivers. Ask for written explanations of any coverage position.
